Title: Program Coordinator
Reports To: Executive Director
Introduction
The North 24th Street Business Improvement District (BID) is a quasi-form of local government established to champion the economic development, infrastructure improvement, promotion and safety of the BID area driven by community collaboration. The North 24th Street BID Association (BID Association) is the nonprofit, operating arm of the BID which plans, funds, and implements projects and programs to fulfill the BID’s objectives.
The Program Coordinator position is an opportunity for an aspiring changemaker to participate in community and economic development in a dynamic business environment. The role includes interfacing with government agencies, shaping policy and influencing systematic change.
Position Overview
The Program Coordinator will implement the North 24th Street Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) program. The coordinator is responsible for programming, communicating and reporting, while ensuring that the necessary resources are available to accomplish desired outcomes. This role will also support the daily operations of the organization.
Compensation
This is a full-time, exempt position compensated at $50k annually.
Time off
Vacation and/or sick days are compensated.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The position includes, but is not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:
- Organizing and scheduling the activities of the program.
- Communications and outreach to partners.
- Manage records and reporting pertaining to program activities.
- Support grant writing and funding requests.
- Organize, co-lead, and participate in committees and community meetings.
- Assist with daily office duties of the BID Association.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, Criminal Justice, Pre-law or Social Work.
- Experience in community engagement, outreach and program coordination.
- Demonstrates excellence in written and oral communication.
- Nonprofit or government agency experience a plus.
- Proficient with PC and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
