Job Summary
Responsible for customer billing, cash application, collections, and account reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate receipt of payments. Supports month-end close and partners cross-functionally to resolve billing and payment issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and issue accurate customer invoices aligned to contracts, pricing, freight, and tax terms
- Apply and reconcile customer payments (ACH, checks, wires, credit cards)
- Research and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, and invoice discrepancies
- Monitor AR aging and perform collections on past-due accounts
- Communicate with customers and internal teams to resolve disputes
- Reconcile AR subledger to GL and support month-end close
- Prepare AR aging and collection reports
- Support audits, SOX controls, and documentation
- Identify process improvements to reduce DSO and improve billing accuracy
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
- 1–3 years of Accounts Receivable or general accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- RP experience preferred (Infor SyteLine, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Intermediate Excel skills; manufacturing/B2B experience a plus
