What are the responsibilities and job description for the QUALITY MANAGER position at Nortech Systems?
• Lead and manage all aspects of the manufacturing quality system including planning, documentation, auditing, supervision and general oversight for all Quality team members and activities.
• Define, implement and maintain overall management of the organization’s quality system including inspection and workmanship standards, manufacturing processes, customer prints, specifications, and defect evaluations.
• Interface with engineering for manufacturing support on the interpretation and inclusion of customer requirements per documentation.
• Ensure customer quality requirements are clear and properly disseminated throughout the organization.
• Coordinate the successful closure of all closed loop corrective actions concerning quality issues of products and processes.
• Provide leadership and oversight to ensure Manufacturing and Quality team members have the necessary tools, training and guidance to ensure and continually improve product and process quality.
• Research, develop and implement JIT/TQC systems.
• Interface with customers in regard to quality objectives, requirements, issues performance, audits, and surveys.
• Oversee and monitor the follow-up and resolution of customer, supplier and internal concerns.
• Maintain agency and regulatory certifications by managing audits and corrective actions as applicable.
• Set up, monitor, and control statistical process control applications, as applicable.
• Collect and report on the quality metrics for the organization.
• Perform internal audits for processes and products to ensure compliance with documented standards and requirements.
• Drive improvements in business performance using various quality tools in support of Corporate Quality initiatives.
• Demonstrate and support Nortech’s Mission, Core Values, policies and procedures at all times.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
The pay range for this role is $106,000 - $124,000 annually/hourly. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and other candidate qualifications.
