What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client & Event Operations Coordinator position at NORR KITCHEN?
Client & Event Operations Coordinator
NORR Kitchen | Remote | Part-Time Independent Contractor
Approximately 20–30 Hours Per Week | $18/Hour to Start
NORR Kitchen is looking for a highly organized and dependable Client & Event Operations Coordinator to support our clients, chefs, and events from booking through completion.
This is a remote independent contractor position for someone who values flexibility but understands that hospitality operates on real deadlines. This is not a work-whenever-you-want role. Client calls, chef coordination, and live events require dependable availability during agreed-upon windows.
What You'll Do
- Make calls to prospective and booked clients during designated call windows
- Provide professional, polished communication with NORR clients
- Support booking administration and client follow-up
- Create accurate shopping lists and online shopping carts for booked events
- Coordinate with chefs on shopping, prep, delivery, arrival, and event timing
- Monitor upcoming events, deadlines, and outstanding details
- Remotely support active events and communicate with onsite teams
- Collect required prep, setup, and event photos from chefs and staff
- Review photos and updates to help maintain NORR quality standards
- Identify problems quickly and escalate issues when needed
- Complete event closeout and administrative follow-up
Schedule & Availability
This contract generally provides 20–30 hours of work per week, depending on NORR's event calendar and business needs.
Contractors must be available during the service windows they agree to cover. Some evening and weekend availability is required for active event support.
Client calls take place during designated call windows, while administrative work, shopping coordination, chef communication, and event support are organized around upcoming events.
All NORR scheduling is based on Pacific Time.
Remote Work & Accountability
Trust and accountability are extremely important at NORR.
Contractors are expected to accurately report all billable time, meet agreed deadlines and service windows, complete assigned deliverables, and communicate promptly when an issue could affect an event or client.
Falsifying hours, intentionally misreporting time, dishonesty, or serious failures to meet agreed-upon responsibilities may result in immediate termination of the contractor relationship.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of their responsibilities without constant supervision.
