Pay: $600.00 - $700.00 per week


Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Camp Manager to oversee the planning, organization, and execution of our camp programs. The Camp Manager will lead a team of staff, manage daily operations, and foster an engaging atmosphere at camp. This is a seasonal position that begins on or around June 1 and ends on or around September 7.


Duties

  • Complete first aid and CPR training.
  • Act as the primary contact for the camp staff, cottage residents, and visitors: The manager or assistant manager is on duty in the office or on the grounds from 9 AM-5 PM Sunday-Thursday and 9 AM-6 PM Friday-Saturday.
  • Check in all visitors using the Safe Visitor management software.
  • Oversee the camp's daily operations and safety procedures.
  • Conduct property-wide inspections three times each summer.
  • Ensure compliance with Wisconsin State codes for summer camps and lodging.
  • Manage finances, including collecting payments, making bank deposits, and coordinating with the treasurer weekly.
  • Handle routine office management tasks such as picking up mail at the post office, file organization, camp record stewardship, and digitizing documents via Google Drive.
  • Call professional contractors or utility companies to solve any major time-sensitive issues.
  • Create and prioritize the grounds workers daily task list.
  • Inspect, clean, and prepare facilities (dorms, craft house, pier, game room, candy store) for incoming groups and conduct daily inspections of the grounds for repairs and cleanliness
  • Train, manage, and schedule lifeguards, grounds workers, cooks, housekeepers, dishwashers and store workers.
  • Supervise volunteers and camper program staff, offering support as needed.
  • Communicate with the Camper Program Director about program needs, issues or community announcements.
  • Serve as the liaison between board members and the camp community.
  • Keep the camp community informed through announcements, coffee hours, Sunday chapel, and Slack.
  • Prepare continental breakfasts for guests from Saturday to Monday, and serve as the main point of contact for lodge check-ins and communications
  • Inspect short-term cottages after each stay to ensure readiness for the next guest, and assist with flipping lodge rooms and short-term cottages when needed.
