Direct and coordinate all activities related to the injection molding operations.
Assists Production Supervisor in coordinating activities in the Molding area and running presses where needed. (“working leader”).
Trains manufacturing personnel in proper Production methods
Specific Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Interpret company policies to workers and enforces all company safety and housekeeping policies, practices, and goals.
Education: Minimum of a high school diploma
Experience: minimum one-year work experience in injection molding operations and manufacturing
Licenses/Certifications: Certified or certifiable to operate an industrial forklift
VISUAL ACUITY:
Visual acuity required for identifying defects during inspection and for reading machine, tool and written information.

Specific Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Interpret company policies to workers and enforces all company safety and housekeeping policies, practices, and goals.
- Run all necessary computerized reports
- Interpret injection molding schedules and work orders and assigns duties
- Set up molding machines to run safely, quality products at optimum productivity
- Perform product changes (ID and resin type and color) on the machines
- Perform Quality Inspections and Quality measurements
- Perform nozzle filter cleaning and changes as needed
- Daily Objections are met.
- Assist with changeovers and start-up of Molding machines to improve output and ensure product meets customer requirements per job standard.
- Assist maintenance in trouble shooting the machines.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking in English language
- Basic computer knowledge
- Good knowledge of manufacturing practices, especially in plastics injection molding
- Operate an industrial forklift
- Ability to supervise groups of people.
- Be able to defuse conflict
- Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and changes machine set-ups as necessary for best quality and cycle time performance.
- Provide and facilitate all the needs of the production operators for optimal performance
- Recommend measures and strive towards improving safety, quality, production methods, and equipment performance.
- Review and prepare as needed daily production reports
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Train workers on how to safely perform their duties
