Job Summary
Buhler Quality Yarns is seeking a motivated and dependable Textile Manufacturing Shift Leader to oversee operations in our spinning department, including carding and drawing operations. This role involves leading production teams, supporting cards operators, and ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are met.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise production activities in spinning, carding, and drawing operations
- Lead and support cards operators, drawing operators, and spinning machine operators
- Ensure production targets, quality standards, and efficiency goals are achieved
- Monitor machine performance and assist with troubleshooting operational issues
- Train, coach, and motivate production employees
- Enforce safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and company policies
- Complete shift reports, production logs, and documentation
- Coordinate with maintenance and management to minimize downtime
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Textile manufacturing experience preferred, especially in spinning, carding, or drawing operations
- Prior leadership or shift lead experience preferred but not required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn textile processes
- Experience working with or supporting cards operators is a plus
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work a rotating schedule with 12-hour shifts
