Primary Purpose:
Ensures proper inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of the freight car rolling stock and facilities in compliance with various regulatory agencies, the AAR and Company Policies.
Principal Duties:
- Ensures timely and effective inspection, servicing and repairs to freight cars and TOFC/COFC equipment at the assigned locations in accordance with FRA, AAR and NS Mechanical Department rules and regulations.
- Ensures maximum utilization and control of Company resources within budgetary limits.
- Required to be on call and be on the scene of mainline and major derailments, delays or unusual occurrences.
- Supports Locomotive Maintenance at the Division Level
Job Related Experience:
Minimum Level: 6-10 years Preferred Level: 11-15 years
Education:
