- Assist project manager to ensure proper timelines and all requirements are met for all projects.
- Help with billing, change orders, collections, etc. to ensure timely completion.
- Keep the management staff up to date on all project issues.
- Review job cost, job status, manpower and change order reports to provide analysis on a monthly basis with project manager/project management team.
- Attend regular/monthly job cost reviews to accurately reflect project profitability and status of all project issues.
- Communicate and troubleshoot with project manager, project superintendents, construction managers and General Contractors.
- Communicate effectively with all project managers, administrative assistants and other departments through meetings, memos, e-mails, etc.
- Assist with coordination proper manpower and equipment for each job.
- Conduct/attend weekly job-site visits and job meetings.
- Assist with proper job setup and contract review. Help to ensure that estimated costs and schedule of values are done in a timely and accurate manner.
- Generate project manager reports and attend project management meetings as appropriate.
- For each project: track submittals, generate purchase orders and negotiate subcontracts and purchases.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Experience/Qualifications Required:
- Minimum of 5 years Mechanical Industry experience and/or related educational background.
- Prior project management experience a plus.
- Job Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Knowledge of general plumbing and piping installation.
- Good math ability and general accounting skills.
- General computer skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong organizational skills.
- General accounting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Education:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Trade school a plus.
- Physical Requirements:
- Able to walk job sites.
- Capable of climbing off/on equipment and ladders.
- Special Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License
- OSHA 10 Certified
