1st Shift Team Lead - TX

Nordic Cold Chain Solutions has an opening in our Farmers Branch, TX manufacturing plant for a 1st shift Lead. We are looking for a dependable and self-motivated individual, who has some prior supervision skills in a team lead type position. Previous manufacturing or production environment experience is preferred. Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately setup machines and verify equipment is ready to start and complete the production cycle
• Monitor equipment and make adjustments, as necessary, for proper operations
• Operate equipment efficiently to meet daily production requirements and company efficiency goals
• Perform quality checks and maintain accurate and timely records to verify products are being manufactured to customer and company standards
• Oversee a section of 4-6 machines and ensure packers have tools they need to perform their job, including, but not limited to, breaks, lunches, tools, and PPE
• May be required to do simple machine maintenance and repairs
• Maintain housekeeping standards, daily cleaning of machines and orderly production area
• Complete work order paperwork neatly and accurately
• Other duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education (GED)
• Experience with fill line or packaging equipment preferred
• Ability to read, understand and write data in English
• Maintain good attendance record
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be reliable and punctual is a must
• 2 years of previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Previous machine operating experience in the packaging industry a plus
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs., to stand, walk, twist and turn frequently
