What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Production Utility Specialist position at Nord Gear Corporation?
JOB SUMMARY:
The primary role of the Production Utility Specialist is to act as a production floater between departments (based on business need). Primary job responsibilities will fall within the Receiving/ Parts Inventory, but employees may also perform Gearbox Assembly Support, Shipping and general labor functions associated with facility expansions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist with duties related to production, production expansion and interdepartmental production flow.
• Assist with general inventory and parts including the Receiving, put-away, inventory audit, cycle counting and parts pulling.
• Using ProGlove, assist in the pulling of parts from inventory in preparation of Gearbox. Ensure the correct parts are pulled based on the bill of materials.
• Assist in the unloading of incoming parts and product placement within Inventory.
• Other various shop-floater duties that revolve around production expansion or production fulfillment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
1-2 years preferred, but not required. Forklift experience preferred, but not required.
Skills and Key Attributes:
Ability to read and write. Basic math skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for 10 hours/day.
