What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gearbox Assembly Trainer - 2nd Shift position at Nord Gear Corporation?
- Train and support assembly employees when training is required.
- Fulfil assembly tasks as needed.
- Read and use job instructions to train assembly employees.
- Ensure that NORD safety procedures are being followed on the shop floor.
- Drive improvement through job shadowing of assembly processes and execution of NORDPro principles.
- Work with leads and supervisors in the shop to ensure that job instructions are updated as needed.
- Work closely with the leads, and supervisors to ensure that new NORD employees are getting the attention and training they require.
- Provide input on assembly training.
- Be an advocate for the assemblers while embodying the NORD culture.
- Educate assemblers that are not following JI processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
