As Project Manager, you will lead all aspects of our projects from preconstruction through closeout. It is important the candidate can work well with architects, clients, office staff, field staff, and subcontractors. The ideal candidate will have commercial construction experience.
This position is required to work at Norcon's Round Lake, IL office.
Primary Responsibilities
The salary range for this position is estimated to be $95,000.00 - 110,000.00 USD annualized.

As Project Manager, you will lead all aspects of our projects from preconstruction through closeout. It is important the candidate can work well with architects, clients, office staff, field staff, and subcontractors. The ideal candidate will have commercial construction experience.
This position is required to work at Norcon's Round Lake, IL office.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare project subcontractor bid list
- Perform quantity takeoffs for all trades related to constructing a project
- Obtain bids from subcontractors
- Prepare scope of work and review with Subcontractors
- Review submittals and generate RFI’s
- Generate and track QAQC lists
- Prepare estimates, project options, and clarifications
- Prepare subcontract agreements and purchase orders
- Prepare the Project Schedule
- Collaborate with project team to inform them of upcoming deadlines, tracking schedule progress, critical activities, or communicating any changes
- Prepare pricing for change orders
- Approve and code subcontractor and vendor invoices
- Review and code weekly field staff timesheets
- Develop, distribute, and track all correspondence related to the project documents –drawings, sketches, specifications, addenda, bid RFI responses, submittals, etc.
- Lead project closeout activities such as compiling O&M Manuals, distributing closeout letters, and tracking punch list items to completion
- Generate OAC agendas with project team
- BIM coordination (where applicable)
- Other duties as assigned
- General understanding related to managing a construction project quality, schedule, and budget
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with a desire to learn new systems
- Experience using project management software
- Ability to be a team player performing various production support tasks
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Be a self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Ability to maintain client relationships
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 4-5 years project support experience in a fast-paced environment
- Construction industry experience or a related field is preferred
- Ability to travel to job sites and vendor locations
- Be responsible and accountable for projects
- Have strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Be strongly committed to safety
- Driver's License (Required)
The salary range for this position is estimated to be $95,000.00 - 110,000.00 USD annualized.
