Medical Sales Manager
Job Description
Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Medical Sales Manager position. The Medical Sales Manager works under the direction of the Executive Vice President and in conjunction with Regional Vice Presidents to determine and monitor the strategy, performance and direction of the outside sales efforts of the medical sales force as well as provide direct representation for Norco. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop strategic plans for medical sales efforts in the assigned territory
- Work with marketing and design teams in the development of print media, sales promotions and flyers, television commercials, radio advertisements, online communications and social media
- Assist branch management in selecting, training, monitoring, and mentoring sales staff in consultative sales techniques, market analysis, strategic planning and organization
- Lead, train, develop and motivate the medical sales force
- Assist sales team through direct sales participation with key accounts on a regular basis
- Complete periodic sales representative performance field evaluations and recommendations for improvement
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of home medical products, placement, availability, price, and reimbursement criteria
- Participate in local and industry conferences and/or trade shows when representation is requested which may include periodic weekend and/or evening participation
- Assist management with periodic performance and wage reviews of sales staff including counseling and disciplinary sessions
- Assist management in establishing sales goals and monitoring for individual sale representatives
- Maintain working knowledge and compliance with Federal Healthcare Laws and other regulatory bodies as pertaining to industry
- Maintain close communication with management regarding industry changes and strategic sales planning occurring locally, or companywide
- Provide sales coaching and training to operational staff upon request of management
- Assist Sales Team in specific contract pricing and account maintenance
- Duties may involve overnight travel and periodic weekend and evening hours
- Assist in training on medical billing criteria with employees and sales accounts
- Identify and inform management of any personnel, procedural or operational concerns that may be detrimental to the success of Norco
- Follow Safe work practices in performance of all duties and follow the company's safety policies daily
- Stay informed of and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Work well with team
- Perform other tasks as assigned or needed
Qualifications:
- Three (3) years' experience in outside medical sales or outside medical sales management required
- Associate or bachelor's degree in business, Marketing or equivalent preferred
- Prior management experience preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to adapt to and manage changing priorities
- Ability to be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively work with diverse clientele
- Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
- Ability to make decisions using good judgement
- Ability to effectively manage staff
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
