NorCal Engineering is geotechnical firm based in Los Alamitos since 1986. We are hiring Field Technicians to perform on-site geotechnical inspections and soil testing for construction projects throughout Southern California. This is a great opportunity for candidates seeking hands-on field experience in construction and engineering environments.
Responsibilities:
· Perform geotechnical observation and testing during construction operations
· Conduct field inspections per project specifications
· Prepare clear, timely daily field reports.
· Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and site personnel.
· Maintain equipment and follow safety standards.
Qualifications:
· Valid CA driver’s license with reliable transportation.
· Ability to work outdoors and lift to 50 lbs. or more
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Experience in geotechnical or construction inspection is a plus.
· ACI, Nuclear Gauge, or related certifications preferred—but not required.
