In this role, you’ll be responsible for real-time Video Surveillance and Leak Detection Monitoring, ensuring safe and reliable operations across wellsite’s, and production facilities. You’ll monitor SCADA/HMI dashboards, alarms, and telemetry from wells, pipelines, and facilities, perform first-line triage, and escalate issues according to client SLAs. This role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who thrive in real-time operations and want a pathway into SCADA, or production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Monitor SCADA/HMI screens, alarm consoles, and telemetry data in real time to ensure safe and reliable operations.
· View, analyze, and monitor remote video surveillance and thermal imaging cameras to identify abnormal conditions or potential site issues.
· Perform first-line triage of alarms and abnormal operating conditions, assessing severity and required action.
· Escalate issues promptly to field personnel in accordance with client‑specific SLAs, escalation protocols, and event criticality.
· Accurately document events, actions, communications, and resolutions in shift logs and reporting systems.
· Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), emergency response workflows, and regulatory or client compliance requirements.
· Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, field teams, and internal stakeholders; provide timely status updates until resolution or handoff.
· Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process gaps, recommending workflow enhancements, and participating in debriefs or incident reviews.
Required Qualifications· 1–3 years of experience in a control center, monitoring, dispatch, or field operations support role (Oil & Gas experience preferred).· 2 years of remote video surveillance monitoring experience.· Reliable, positive, and self-motivated, with strong customer service orientation.· Proficiency with computer hardware/software, including the Microsoft Office Suite.· Strong situational awareness, attention to detail, and strict adherence to procedures.· Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills; able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment.· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (required).· Ability to operate effectively in a real-time environment while managing multiple dashboards and systems.· Willingness and ability to work 12-hour shifts and rotating schedules as required.Preferred Qualifications
· Basic understanding of production and pipeline equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, separators, tanks, valves, meters).
· Post-secondary education—or equivalent experience—preferably in a petroleum-related discipline to support understanding of monitored sites and technology.
· Previous oilfield operations experience and familiarity with SCADA systems (considered assets).
