What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Sales Manager position at Nora Lighting, Inc.?
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for selling and promoting Nora Lighting products in his/her specified territory. The RSM will be a key member of the sales team. The RSM is THE KEY SALES STRATEGIST for the region and responsible for proper training, providing guidance, leading and managing independent sales representatives to achieve sales targets in that region. The RSM will work with reps, electrical distributors, contractors, specifiers, and lighting showrooms per their market responsibility.
The RSM is to effectively demonstrate his/her experience of driving sales through distribution channels to meet the company’s current and future sales targets. RSMs are expected to develop action plans for Reps & customers, as well as troubleshoot issues and concerns.
Responsibilities
- Present the “Nora Story” to new reps and first-time calls with distributors, designers and specifiers.
- Work with the Nora management team to set and achieve sales targets within RSM territory and increase overall market share.
- Work closely with quotations manager to monitor both stock and job quotations within SM territory
- Work with other RSM’s as needed to meet sales goals and objectives
- Provide assistance and direction with Trade show efforts in coordination with the Marketing and Sales departments.
- Work with local manufacturer representatives and the VP of Sales in developing specific marketing programs for distributors, contractors, and specifiers in their region.
- Lead and manage a network of local manufacturer representatives
- Work with local manufacturer representatives to set sales goals and to further develop the Nora brand within their assigned territories
- Actively train and educate manufacturer representatives on Nora products, ensuring that representatives can present products and represent Nora in a professional manner.
- Ensure the distribution of information and materials to manufacturer representatives and customers, and follow up with representatives to maximize sales opportunities
- Evaluate and report sales activities within the territory
- Evaluate and report on competition activity within the territory
- Ensure that rep sales numbers are distributed in a timely manner.
