Job Purpose:

We’re hiring a Buyer to own our purchasing and procurement function at our Franklin, WI facility. Now is a great time to join Nopak as we embark on our next stage of growth as we continue to take market share in our core customer segments. The ideal candidate is a reliable, detail-oriented person with the ability to multitask and a desire to grow.

Responsibilities:

·       Issue PO’s based on the shortage report and Planning Worksheet, as well as shop floor needs

·       Follow up with Follow up with Suppliers and Vendors

·       Assist Take lead on new supplier search and procurement projects with assistance from engineering and operations teams

·       Write RelUpdate item cards with any changes in lead time or safety stock

·       Effectively communicate with vendors in regard to order acknowledgements, on-time and late deliveries, and delivery discrepancies

·       Coordinate efforts for expedited materials to ensure customer deliveries are in accordance with production schedule

·       Coordinate, plan and process outside sub-contract work

·       Identify potential gaps in our supply chain and work to close those gaps through dual suppliers where necessary

Minimum Qualifications:

·       Requires an Associate’s degree in supply chain, operations, or related field

·       Must display a strong “sense of urgency” and “can do” approach, while also possessing a passion for reducing costs

·       Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with employees and management

·       Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel knowledge

·       Organizational skills with the ability to multi-task on a daily basis

·       Computer skills necessary – accuracy & attention to details a must

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, or related field

·       Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP/Accounting Package

·       Familiarity with Claude AI
