Payroll Processor
Major University in Tribeca Has Immediate Temporary to Permanent Opening for Qualified Payroll Processor to Assist with Transitioning from Third-Party Provider Back to ADP

Job Duties:
· Prepare, process & transmit high-volume weekly payroll & transition department from third-party provider back to ADP
· Update payroll files with tax changes, personnel updates, new hires & voluntary deductions
· Post payroll distribution entries to the general ledger
· Collaborate with payroll vendors to resolve payroll processing and payroll tax issues
· Serve as primary point of contact for faculty, staff, & student employees for all payroll inquiries & provide guidance on accounting activities
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree – Accounting preferred
· Minimum seven years hands-on experience payroll processing experience
· Proficiency with Banner or similar financial information system
· Strong working knowledge of payroll tax codes & regulations
· Computer proficiency (esp. M.S. Office Suite)
· Strong technical accounting, analytical & problem-solving abilities
· Customer service orientation, high attention to detail & ability to solve complex tasks independently
Physical Requirements:
· This position is office-based and does not require standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis with or without reasonable accommodation
