CAD Technician - ManhattanAre you a detail-oriented CAD professional who enjoys transforming ideas into precise technical drawings? We are looking for a talented CAD Technician to support a range of architectural, structural, and civil engineering projects for a well-established engineering consultancy.

In this role, you will work closely with engineers, draftsmen, and designers to turn blueprints into accurate 2D and 3D CAD models. You will contribute to projects such as building structures, bridges, highways, public works, and various site development assignments.

What You Will DoCreate high-quality CAD drawings, surface models, and solid models based on client specifications.

Draft plans and detailed drawings for construction projects, using AutoCAD.

Interpret sketches, engineering calculations, and technical documentation.

Prepare architectural and structural layouts, maps, and topographical drawings.

Analyze building codes, technical reports, and site requirements.

Conduct or support field surveys and site inspections when needed.

Finalize drawing packages for reproduction and submission.

Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure accuracy and compliance.

What You BringA minimum 3-year technical degree in Drafting, Design, Engineering, or a related field.

Strong experience with AutoCAD (sheet sets, layouts, Xrefs, attributes, publishing).

Knowledge of structural detailing (concrete, steel, timber) is a plus.

Experience with 3D CAD environments.

Familiarity with both Metric and English measurement systems.

Autodesk certification or MicroStation experience is an advantage.

A keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently or in a team.
