Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and quality standards
- Manage ingredient inventory and ensure freshness of all food items
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Assist in menu planning and suggest new pizza varieties or toppings
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including prep stations and cooking equipment
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health regulations and company policies
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles, preferably within the pizza or restaurant industry
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with menu planning and fine dining is a plus
- Familiarity with catering, serving, and general food service operations
- Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and a team-oriented attitude
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is advantageous but not required
