Engineering Handyman

Job Summary

Nongshim America is seeking a dependable and versatile Handyman to support daily maintenance needs at our industrial food manufacturing facility. This role focuses on general repairs, facility upkeep, and light mechanical and electrical support. Candidates should be adaptable, safety-conscious, and willing to assist the maintenance team in troubleshooting equipment when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine facility maintenance, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and basic repairs.
• Assist with minor mechanical and electrical tasks (e.g., replacing parts, resetting equipment, checking motors, basic wiring).
• Support maintenance technicians in troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure production areas and common spaces are kept clean, safe, and operational.
• Conduct inspections and promptly report maintenance issues.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and safety protocols required in a food manufacturing environment.
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience in general maintenance, construction, or handyman work required.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems (industrial experience helpful but not required).
• Comfortable assisting with troubleshooting and supporting maintenance staff.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, bending, prolonged standing).
• Strong problem-solving skills, reliability, and self-motivation.

• Exposure to industrial mechanical or electrical work.
• Experience in food manufacturing or other regulated environments.
• Familiarity with OSHA and food safety standards.
• Hands-on experience supporting maintenance technicians in equipment repair.
