Role Description
The Behavioral Health Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Charlotte, NC. The role involves providing direct care and support to individuals in behavioral health programs. Daily responsibilities include monitoring and assisting clients, implementing care plans, documenting services, engaging in therapeutic activities, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to support clients' well-being and recovery.
Qualifications
- Skills in patient care, effective communication, and building trust and rapport with clients.
- Competence in documentation, data collection, and maintaining accurate records related to patient progress and treatment plans.
- Awareness of behavioral health interventions and techniques, including crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team, demonstrate compassion in client interactions, and maintain confidentiality.
- Previous experience in the behavioral health or social services field is highly valued.
- High school diploma or equivalent; advanced education or certification in Behavioral Health, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is a plus.
- CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
