Summary of Duties
Responsible for implementing, supporting and maintaining the telecommunications infrastructure, select clinical Systems, non-clinical information technology for the Senior Living Division. Responsible for managing subordinates and working with end-users, vendors, as well as, other staff to resolve information technology issues over the telephone or on-site as they relate to phone systems, computer, server, smart phones, kiosk and other device repairs, operating system and software configuration.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training network technicians; communicating job expectations; monitoring, and appraising job results; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Implement, repair and trouble shoot computers, switches and other networking equipment.
- Implement, support, maintain and secure application and remote desktop servers for hosted applications.
- Implement, support, maintain and secure Domain controllers and other servers are needed for the Senior Living Division. Assist IT Manager and IT staff in acquisitions and support needs.
- Assists other IT staff with network, computer issues.
- Configure, implement, support and modify multiple Voice Over IP phone systems at various facilities, and assist vendors in non-IP phone systems.
- Assist in providing technical guidance and support to facility staff.
- Assist IT Manager and any other IT staff and vendors in interface configurations, training and implementation of new systems.
- Assist with business productivity applications and billing, and billing applications.
- Handles work orders on the Senior Living Division for all locations to ensure work orders are completed or documented each day.
- Create, modify, and delete user accounts and exchange mailboxes.
- Create Purchase Orders and other assigned paperwork.
- Secure Electronic Protected Health Information, and educate users on HIPAA security rules,
- Performs daily, weekly and quarterly audits to ensure HIPAA compliance per policy and procedures.
- Works with Vendors and Operations staff to support clinical system problems.
- Assist Director of Information Technology and any other Information Technology staff and vendors on implementing and supporting Electronic Medical Records, and Electronic Medication Administration application.
- Assist Information Technology Manager and Director of Information Technology with Emergency Disaster Recovery and business continuity plans.
- Support users accessing Document Imaging and Online orientation systems.
- Configure and maintain secure wireless networks for business use, as well as, working with vendors on public/resident wifi network support.
- Assist Information Technology Manager and Director of Information Technology with Capital Budget planning and forecasting of capital needs.
- Assist with cross-training of IT department staff on systems in place at facilities.
- Develop processes, procedures, manuals and other documentation, as requested by Information Technology Manager and Director of Information Technology.
- Perform other duties as needed by the Information Technology Manager or Director of Information Technology.
Education
Associate’s degree in computer science or a related field required. Certified on Microsoft Desktop and Server operating systems (MCSA or equivalent) required.
Experience
Minimum of four (4) years experience as network engineer or network administrator support, and a minimum of two years experience working with terminal services – Remote Desktop Servers, Cisco switches required.
