Flex Armed Security Officer - TWIC (New Orleans, LA)

NOLA Protection Group is seeking an experienced, highly dependable Armed Flex Security Officer to support our field operations across various commercial, industrial, and maritime sites. As a Flex Officer, you serve as a key operational asset—providing high-caliber, short-notice coverage for call-offs, open shifts, special details, and priority maritime accounts.

This position requires 100% open schedule availability, active Louisiana armed security credentials, a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), and a reliable personal firearm and Duty Gear.

• Dynamic Site Coverage: Adapt quickly to varied post instructions across multiple clients (industrial facilities, port/maritime access points, commercial properties, and event sites).

• Access Control & Asset Protection: Monitor personnel, visitor, and vehicle entry points; verify TWIC credentials and credentials for maritime or restricted access zones.

• Patrol & Visual Deterrence: Conduct high-visibility foot and/or mobile patrols to deter trespass, theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.

• Incident Response & Reporting: Respond swiftly to security breaches, alarms, and emergency situations; document all occurrences thoroughly via clear, professional daily activity reports (DARs) and incident documentation.

• Armed Presence: Maintain absolute readiness and strict compliance regarding firearm handling, safety, and use-of-force standards in accordance with state law and company policy.

• Operational Communication: Maintain open contact with dispatch, field supervisors, and management regarding scheduling changes, site updates, and emergency escalations.

1. LSBPSE Armed License: Must hold a active Armed Security Officer Registration Card issued by the Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners.

2. TWIC Card: Must possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card at the time of application.

3. Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age (required for state armed registration).

4. Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License with a clean motor vehicle record and reliable, personal transportation to commute on short notice.

• Duty Weapon: Must own a reliable, state-approved firearm (duty caliber: 9mm, .40 S&W, or .45 ACP) with matching duty gear (Level 2 or 3 retention holster, duty belt, and extra magazines/holders). (Note: Company does not issue personal firearms or holsters).

• 100% Flexible Schedule: Total availability across Days, Evenings, Overnights, Weekends, and Holidays is mandatory.

• On-Call Readiness: Ability to receive, accept, and respond to short-notice call-ins and assignment shifts across the service area.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• Must pass a comprehensive background check (no felony convictions or disqualifying misdemeanors) and pre-employment drug screening.

• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended 8-to-12 hour shifts in various weather conditions (indoor and outdoor posts).

• Minimum 1–2 years of prior armed security, military, or law enforcement experience.

• Familiarity with maritime facilities and Coast Guard access control procedures (33 CFR Part 105).

• Strong verbal communication, conflict de-escalation, and situational awareness capabilities.

• Proficiency with mobile workforce and scheduling apps (e.g., electronic incident reporting and clock-in software).

• Pay Rate: $21.00 / hour
