How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Lead and manage a high-performing engineering product development team to deliver innovative mechanical designs aligned with cost, schedule, and performance goals.
- Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules, ensuring seamless coordination of activities across multiple disciplines and teams, both internally and externally.
- Facilitate and lead regular team meetings, setting clear agendas, tracking action items, and documenting outcomes to maintain project momentum.
- Conduct thorough technical reviews, providing insights for FMEAs, design analyses, risk assessments, and qualification plans to drive product quality and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers on design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews, root cause corrective actions (RCCA), and procurement processes to resolve part issues effectively.
- Assess resource needs and project priorities, providing key inputs for headcount, budget, and scheduling requirements to optimize team efficiency.
- Prepare and present detailed project status reports and summaries to upper management and cross-functional teams, showcasing progress and strategic alignment.

Must-Have:
- MS in Mechanical Engineering required
- 5-10 years of mechanical design and/or product development experience
- Proven project management and/or project leadership experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in design using 3D CAD and solid modeling tools
- Knowledge of FEA and fundamental understanding of thermo-mechanical and structural analysis
- Familiarity with optical design and/or electronic device packaging
- Knowledge of statistical analysis
- Experience with Agile methodologies preferred
