Responsibilities
- Teach engaging gymnastics classes tailored to different skill levels and age groups
- Ability to teach proper gymnastics techniques and progressions
- Provide clear instructions and constructive feedback to help athletes improve their skills and confidence
- Monitor participants’ progress and adjust coaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain a safe environment by supervising equipment use, enforcing behavior management policies, and responding promptly to emergencies as needed
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's development and performance
- Lead warm-up activities to prevent injuries and promote overall fitness
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a national background check
- Prior experience in sports coaching, gymnastics instruction, or related physical education roles
- Strong knowledge of gymnastics techniques, safety procedures, and injury prevention measures
- Experience working with children and managing behavior in a group setting
- USA Gymnastics Professional Membership Certification or willingness to obtain one
- Excellent communication skills to effectively teach and motivate diverse groups of students
