Outside Sale Representative- Shanor
Position: Outside Sales
Location: Kenmore, NY
Compensation: $80,000-$100,000 annual
What We Are Looking For
The primary function of the Outside Sales Representative (OSR) is to generate profitable sales of electrical supplies. The OSR is focused on developing new business and retaining and developing business with existing customers. This position will meet face-to-face and over the phone with a wide range of customers and serve a customer base of electrical, mechanical and general contractors, industry, government agencies, municipalities, retail hardware and building supply markets in Western New York. This position is commissioned with unlimited earnings potential.

What You Will Do
- Meet or exceed assigned annual budgets.
- Build and maintain a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
- Build strong relationships with customers, understand their needs, and recommend Shanor services and programs tailored to their business objectives.
- Demonstrate the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve any issues that may arise post-sale.
- Maintain communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
- Maintain detailed reports of sales activities, including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
- Provide periodic territory sales forecasts.

What You Will Need
- Two years relevant experience, Associate's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred
- Ability to read blueprints preferred
- Electrical Material knowledge preferred
- Must have a record of success in cold calling, qualifying leads, positioning value-added services and closing business.
- Must be fast-paced, goal-oriented individuals who can provide world-class service to our customers.
- Must be able to learn products, sales processes, and systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Outstanding sales and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to maintain profitable sales
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
