Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrains, and diesel engines with precision and efficiency.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, wheel alignments, and suspension repairs.
- Repair and calibrate ADAS features like lane departure warnings, adaptive cruise control, and collision avoidance systems to ensure optimal vehicle safety.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems across diverse vehicle makes, especially GM vehicles.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and fluid replacements to keep vehicles operating smoothly.
- Collaborate with team members on automotive repair projects while maintaining high standards of quality and safety compliance.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or service center experience as an Automotive Technician or Service Technician.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics and repairs.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration, automotive electrical systems, transmissions, and powertrain components.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive diagnostic software.
- Experience working with schematics for troubleshooting complex electrical issues.
- Knowledge of diesel engine repair and auto estimating processes is a plus.
