Our 17 campuses and 1,600 employees currently serve 12,000 students, 98% of whom identify as persons of color, 90% as low-income, and 81% as first-generation college attendees. Noble’s mission is to ensure that all students have equitable and positive school experiences that equip them to complete college and lead choice-filled lives. We are proud to be recognized nationally for college access and persistence. Noble supports more than 31,000 alumni, with 98% of students accepted into college and nearly 94% choosing to enroll.

The Role

The Director of College Counseling (DoCC) reports directly to the Chief College Officer and serves as the strategic leader for college access across Noble Schools. Through visionary leadership and strategic execution, the Director ensures all Noble students receive exceptional college counseling that leads to college matriculation and positions alumni to earn bachelor's degrees, supporting all graduates to engage in choice-filled lives. The Director of College Counseling builds and leads a multi-layer team, directly coaching 17 Deans of College who, in turn, manage over 60 counselors across Noble. This leader makes strategic decisions about college counseling programming, resource allocation, and partnerships, ensuring alignment with Noble's long-term strategic goals. This leader remains current on the broader college landscape and represents Noble as a national leader in college access for underserved students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop clear processes for supporting students who complete Noble's comprehensive college counseling process and make informed decisions to pursue non-college pathways, ensuring all students achieve choice-filled lives while preserving Noble's central commitment to 4-year college access
  • Lead major projects and initiatives from planning through execution, proactively engaging various stakeholders to gather input, synthesize feedback, and drive initiatives that move the needle on college access
