Middle School Music Teacher

Responsible for teaching general music to NMS students in grades 7 & 8. There may also be opportunities to teach a high school music elective. Strong candidates will possess the knowledge, skills, and ideologies consistent with the philosophies and practices of standards and proficiency-based educational systems. A clear understanding of the connection between curriculum, instruction, and assessment is required. A willingness to collaborate and to be student centered are necessary skills that a candidate must demonstrate. Noble Middle & High School is located in North Berwick, Maine, and serves the communities of Berwick, North Berwick, and Lebanon. Noble is a 7-12 school with 1,275 students housed in two heterogeneously grouped academies made up of grade-level teams and houses. Our school features student-centered learning, multiple pathways to success, one-to-one technology, a teacher leadership team, a proficiency-based system of teaching and learning, performance-based assessments, student-led conferences, and a final student capstone presentation.
