Noble Gas Solutions Position Profile

Manager:  VP of Customer Service   

Objective:   Oversee total Store activities including, but not limited to: customer service, sales, business development, merchandising, inventory, employee management and financial transactions/procedures.

General Store Management Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate and perform delivery of store sales activities, including: waiting on customers, receiving incoming telephone calls and emails, adhering to established pricing program, merchandising and inventory management.  

1. Oversee accurate completion of daily transactions.  

1. Oversee daily cash drawer balancing. 

1. Provide assistance to in-person and over-the-telephone customers regarding their needs, product applications and availability, trouble-shoot equipment issues and provide solutions to any other areas of customers’ concern.  

1. Complete hard goods inventory cycle and physical counts as directed.  Interface with Purchasing Manager regarding inventory control, dead stock reduction and product/supplies ordering requirements as necessary.

1. Oversee store and storefront maintenance, cleanliness, and store security.

1. Manage preparation of customer purchases and orders for pick-up, including communicating with Plant employees for assistance with gas purchases (i.e. tank refills).

1. Capable of managing goals, delegating responsibilities, monitoring progress and work objectives and providing feedback/performance evaluations to co-workers and subordinates.

1. Participate in all training provided, including safety, compliance, customer service and product knowledge/applications, etc., as opportunities for training are made available. 

1. Together with Management, develop and implement policies and procedures for the store.

1. This position is also responsible for being accessible after hours and on weekends in order to arrange for emergencies.

1. Ability to effectively communicate verbally or in writing with internal Noble Gas Solutions staff, customers and third parties. 

1. As occasionally required, capable of completing a work schedule which may be before or beyond regular office hours.

1. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business/trade journals, technical procedures or government regulations.

1. Ability to ensure compliance to established company policies, procedures, and federal and state regulations.

1. Ability to define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and resolve problems.  Provide management with recommendations that will enhance profitability and efficiency.

1. Monitor and document employee job performance, provide necessary coaching, training, counseling and disciplinary action.

1. Capable of managing goals, delegating responsibilities, monitoring progress and work objectives and providing feedback/performance evaluations to co-workers and subordinates. 

1. Ability to meet essential physical requirements as identified below.

Physical Requirements

1. Ability to stand for 4-6 hours per day.

1. Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds with or without assistance.

1. Ability to operate a fork truck, pick-up truck or car on occasion.

1. Ability to squat or bend and lift to pull stock for customers.

1. Manual dexterity sufficient for use of keyboard, telephone, and mouse

1. Arm and shoulder motion sufficient for stocking of shelves and manipulation of cylinders with a rolling movement.

1. Speech and hearing sufficient for regular telephone and in-person communication.

1. Vision sufficient for regular use of computer monitor and reading of paperwork.

1. Ability to read and interpret various procedures, policies, and safety information.  

Qualifications:

High School graduate with 4 years’ experience in related industry or 2 year degree in

Business Management or a similar field with 2 years experience in related industry.
