The ideal candidate will also assist with engineering functions such as bid document preparation, contract preparation, project design support, volume calculations, and technical reporting to ensure projects meet regulatory, quality, and budgetary requirements.

This is a hands-on role suited for an experienced professional who can lead field operations while collaborating closely with engineering staff to deliver efficient, compliant, and high-quality landfill construction projects.

  • Perform engineering support tasks, including preparing and reviewing grading plans, cut/fill analyses, and volume calculations.
  • Assist in the preparation of design drawings, construction documents, and as-built surveys.
  • Conduct field inspections to verify compliance with design, environmental regulations, and QA/QC standards.

  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and survey data.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble, or similar design and field software.
  • Familiarity with QA/QC testing, CQA documentation, and regulatory reporting requirements for landfill construction.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently in the field.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) preferred.
  • OSHA 30-hour or equivalent construction safety training.
  • Experience with drone operations and photogrammetry software (e.g., Propeller, Carlson, DroneDeploy) a plus.
  • Knowledge of state landfill design standards and solid waste regulations.

  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
  • Paid time off and company holidays.
  • Professional development and certification assistance.
  • Opportunities for growth and advancement within Noble Environmental.
