Join our team as a Petting Zoo Driver, where your enthusiasm and love for animals will help create memorable experiences for visitors of all ages! In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for loading the animals up at the farm and safely transporting them to guests event or party locations. It will be your responsibility to ensuring their well-being, while engaging with guests to foster a fun and safe environment. Your energetic approach and excellent communication skills will be key to delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining safety standards. This paid position offers a unique opportunity to combine your passion for animals with leadership and customer service skills in a lively setting. We are seeking individuals who have open weekend availability as this job requires open Saturday and Sundays with the occasional week day.
- Load animals for the event or party you will be working that day.
- Safely drive zoo vehicles to transport animals to events and parties. The vehicles consist of a large passenger van and also a truck pulling a horse trailer.
- Engage with guests (mostly children) through friendly conversations, helping them hold the animals, and monitoring interactions with the animals ensuring the animals well being.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles and trailers and animals as needed
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to take your own crew of animals and coworkers to parties
- Excellent communication skills, including customer service abilities
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment (example: loading the animals at your first event and going to your second event on time)
- Genuine passion for animals, and creating engaging guest experiences
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Prior experience in animal care, transportation, or educational roles is a plus but not required; training will be provided
