Job Summary

      Internship is a temporary assignment responsible for working with stakeholders and the Accounting Team to accomplish core projects.  

      Provides high school students the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience and explore a career in accounting by supporting the        accounting department with various tasks and projects.

Duties & Functions

Essential:

• Supporting the accounting team with data entry, maintaining accounting records and filing documents.
• Scanning documents into Share Drive to assist with a paperless environment for Accounts Payable.
• Utilizing Smartsheet’s as backup for reconciliation and missing information data collection.
• Learning and applying general accounting principles.
• Collaborating with the accounting team on various projects and tasks.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education & Experience:

• Currently enrolled in High School.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently required to walk, stand,talk, hear, reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to sit.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
