Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect – Microsoft RDS with expertise in Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (RDS), Citrix XenApp migration, VMware, and Nutanix. The ideal candidate will lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise RDS environments while driving large-scale application migration from Citrix XenApp to Microsoft RDS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect enterprise Microsoft RDS environments, including High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and scalability.
• Define target architecture for RD Gateway, RD Broker, Session Hosts, FSLogix, and SQL Backend.
• Lead Citrix XenApp/Virtual Apps to Microsoft RDS migration strategy, assessment, compatibility validation, and migration planning.
• Develop migration approaches (side-by-side, phased, and wave-based).
• Review and approve High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD).
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams on architecture and implementation.
• Provide guidance on FSLogix and App-V integration.
• Drive performance optimization, capacity planning, troubleshooting, governance, and compliance.
• Participate in stakeholder discussions, architecture reviews, and client governance meetings.

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (RDS) architecture and implementation.
• Hands-on experience with Citrix XenApp/Citrix Virtual Apps to Microsoft RDS migration.
• Deep knowledge of RD Gateway, RD Broker, Session Hosts, FSLogix, and SQL Backend.
• Experience with High Availability (HA) and Load Balancing.
• Hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) and Nutanix AHV.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale migration projects.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with App-V or application packaging.
• PowerShell automation.
• Experience in healthcare or other regulated environments.
