NM Residential is seeking an experienced Regional Operations Manager to oversee the operational and financial performance of our Ohio portfolio.
This role provides leadership to property and maintenance teams, ensures compliance with company standards, and supports additional affiliated service operations as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Operations
- Oversee operational and financial performance for assigned Ohio properties
- Conduct regular property visits to evaluate maintenance, curb appeal, compliance, and resident satisfaction
- Analyze budgets, financial reports, and variances; recommend corrective actions
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting related to occupancy, collections, expenses, and maintenance
- Support the implementation of company policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives
Leadership and Team Development
- Provide coaching and performance oversight to property managers, leasing staff, and maintenance supervisors
- Assist with onboarding and development of management staff
- Partner with HR regarding staffing, performance documentation, and personnel matters
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellent service
Operational Support for Affiliated Services
- Provide oversight to designated affiliated service operations
- Support collections, staffing, workflow, and operational consistency
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure adherence to company standards
Administration and Strategic Coordination
- Prepare operational updates and recommendations for senior leadership
- Assist with special projects, property transitions, and new initiatives
- Work closely with corporate departments—Accounting, HR, Maintenance, Marketing—for alignment and communication
- Review vendor and contractor performance to ensure service and cost effectiveness
Customer Service and Resident Relations
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality customer service across properties
- Assist with escalated resident concerns
- Monitor property reputation and support improvement of public feedback and ratings
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted
- Experience: 5–7 years in property management, regional operations, or multi-site leadership
- Experience managing budgets, staffing, and multi-property performance
Skills and Abilities
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to interpret financial and operational data
- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel consistently throughout Ohio
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software (MRI or similar)
