Position Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Advertising Sales Executive to help grow our advertising partnerships in the Santa Fe media market.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with strong communication skills, a passion for building community, and a knack for connecting New Mexico businesses and organizations with values-aligned marketing opportunities. If you go out of your way to shop local and love promoting unique content creators, artists, events and businesses that make living in New Mexico special, this might be for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, nonprofits, political campaigns, and agencies across New Mexico
- Identify potential advertisers and pitch digital sponsorships, newsletter ads, and branded content opportunities on NM.News and affiliated sites
- Draft and deliver advertising proposals based on standard rate cards and custom campaign options
- Coordinate with NM News Group editors and operations to fulfill sold campaigns and track performance
- Ensure timely follow-up with clients and maintain clear, professional communication
Ideal Qualifications
- Previous sales experience, especially in media, digital advertising, or local markets
- Self-directed and organized, with strong time management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with New Mexico communities and local businesses
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable making voice calls by telephone and with in-person meetings to discuss advertising options
- Comfortable using email, video calls, and productivity tools
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
