What are the responsibilities and job description for the NL-26-058 Software Architect position at nLogic?
nLogic is seeking a Software Architect to support a mission-focused effort in the Colorado Springs area. This role will play a critical part in supporting platform architecture and technical design within an environment where technical expertise, precision, and attention to detail are essential.
In this role, you will work hand‑in‑hand with the Principal Engineer to shape the platform’s overall design, reference architecture, and key demonstrators, applying broad technical depth across the full stack of large‑scale, deployed systems. You’ll lead high‑impact architectural decisions, guide end‑to‑end solution delivery, and establish foundational best practices that ensure performance, security, and long‑term sustainability. Collaborating within a small, fast‑moving team, you’ll help define technical direction, integrate modern DevSecOps and cloud‑native principles, and leverage emerging AI‑assisted development tools to accelerate innovation across mission‑critical space communications systems.
The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the US Space Force’s Space Systems Center (SSC). We support the Space Force’s acquisition of state-of-the-art satellite communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.
