Seeking an experienced RN leader to oversee hospital operations during off-shifts, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality care across the organization. This role provides operational oversight not only for inpatient units, but also for ancillary and support services active during assigned hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for hospital operations during shift, including inpatient units and all supporting/ancillary departments.
- Serve as a clinical resource and role model, demonstrating strong critical thinking and the ability to make timely, sound decisions in complex situations.
- Support and guide staff through change, maintaining visible, positive energy and engagement.
- Use excellent interpersonal skills to apply policies and contractual requirements fairly and consistently.
- Manage multiple high-acuity or high-intensity situations calmly and effectively.
- Demonstrate reliability, strong work ethic, and the professional presence needed to motivate and inspire the team.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of proven leadership experience in a hospital or acute care setting (strongly preferred).
- Experience in effective conflict resolution (preferred).
- Solid understanding of day-to-day operations in an acute care medical center, including exposure to emergency/trauma and critical care environments.
- Familiarity with staffing/scheduling systems preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and continuing education in nursing and healthcare leadership.
- Must hold an active RN license.
- Ability to provide own transportation (traveler must have their own vehicle).
Certifications
- Current ACLS (AHA).
- Current BLS (AHA).
Licensure
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Massachusetts.
