Job Title: Architectural Representative (Architects & Designers) Company: Fierst Distributing Location: Pittsburgh, PA About Us Fierst Distributing is a locally owned flooring distribution company proudly serving the industry for 76 years. We partner with leading brands such as Crossville Tile, Florida Tile, Atlas Concorde, Bostik, Schluter, and Laticrete to provide a wide range of high-quality products including tile, hardwood, engineered hardwood, vinyl, waterproofing materials, and setting materials. We are seeking a driven and personable Architectural Representative to cover the City of Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for someone with strong relationships in the architectural and design community who enjoys building connections, solving problems, and driving results. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with architectural and design firms within the assigned territory
- Promote and specify Fierst Distributing’s full product portfolio to A&D clients
- Deliver product presentations and conduct lunch-and-learns at top firms
- Provide budgetary quotes and support clients with samples and technical resources
- Research market trends, analyze client needs, and identify opportunities for growth
- Represent the company at industry events and trade shows
- Understand competitive products and position Fierst offerings effectively
- Manage sales tools, samples, and customer resources to ensure availability
- Travel locally and occasionally overnight as required
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the sales team ________________________________________ Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of industry-related experience, specifically with architectural firms and designers
- Proven sales, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and customer-focused mindset
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Intermediate computer proficiency
- Valid driver’s license
- Be able to lift 30 lbs.
- Be able to sit for extended periods of driving time.
