The role involves generating new business, supporting project specifications, coordinating estimates, and managing customer relationships throughout the sales process within an assigned territory.
Essential Functions And Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow a strong customer base to generate repeat business within the assigned sales territory
- Build long-term relationships with customers and secure orders for YKK AP products
- Maintain regular communication with architects to promote YKK products and achieve product specification for bidding
- Collaborate with inside sales, estimating, and management teams to negotiate terms, secure orders, and follow up on estimates utilizing company technology platforms.
- Prepare and submit sales plans, including customer projections and strategic growth initiatives
- Monitor and analyze competitive market conditions locally and nationally
- Participate in the coordination of project quotes for customers with the estimating department, including material take-offs from architectural drawings
- Visit job sites to gain an understanding of product installation and assist in resolving field-related issues in coordination with field technicians
- Assist with payment collection and credit authorization as needed
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school, or five or more years of related experience and/or training in the glazing or construction industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior experience in customer service and/or estimating preferred
- Must reside within the assigned sales territory
