The Law & Regulation Associate Staff Attorney provides legal advice and support to NJM’s Contract Management and Regulatory Compliance teams, as well as NJM’s Corporate and General Counsel.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Pay Range: $101,415-$127,862

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Review of third party and vendor agreements
- Provide legal advice to business units on contract related issues and collaborate with Vendor Management in the negotiation and execution of contracts
- Provide regulatory guidance to stakeholders enterprise-wide to ensure legal compliance
- Support internal business unit initiatives and assist with maintaining and improving internal policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
- Assist Law and Regulation management with regulatory, rate and form filings
- Juris Doctorate degree required
- License to practice law in the state of New Jersey is required
- 0-5 years of legal and/or property casualty insurance experience
- Critical thinking skills and business judgment
- Ability to work independently on projects
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to make decisions, propose solutions, and solve problems
- Experience managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
- Strong relationship-building skills and a commitment to customer service
- Property and casualty insurance experience
- Experience handling contracts and/or regulatory matters
- Admitted to practice law in New York or Pennsylvania
