Job Title: Medical Assistant/Receptionist
Summary:
Our medical practice has an excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our welcoming office. Responsibilities include patient intake, recording vital signs and EKG’s, EMR documentation and assisting with front desk operations as needed. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced professional setting. This part-time position involves working 3 to 4 full days per week, with the potential to expand to full-time hours based on performance and practice needs. A competitive salary is offered.
Responsibilities:
- Record patient vitals and update information in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with physician and staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Obtain insurance authorizations as needed.
- Support front desk operations, including greeting patients, processing copays and scheduling appointments.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a medical setting is required.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documenting medical information.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and professional demeanor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Expected hours: 16.0 – 28.0 per week
