JOB TITLE: Systems Administrator
LOCATION: Poseyville, Indiana
REPORTS TO: Adam Schmitt, Vice President of Administration
This newly created position will play a central role in digital transformation by implementing, improving, and maintaining the systems that power Nix Companies. The primary purpose for this position is to optimize access to data, ensure information flows smoothly across platforms, and strengthen the digital infrastructure that supports all business units, including Nix Companies, Nix Industrial, Fleet Service Partners, and other affiliated interests. This role focuses heavily on systems implementation, improvement, artificial intelligence, automation, reporting accuracy, integrations, and strategic data accessibility, while also providing technical support as needed.
How You Will Do It:
Data Systems, Reporting & Accessibility (Primary Focus)
- Lead initiatives to make company data easier to access, analyze, and use across departments.
- Improve data structures, permissions, and reporting flows within Google Workspace, E2, Pipedrive, QuickBooks Time, and custom internal tools.
- Build automated data pipelines, dashboards, and cross-system reports to reduce manual work and improve decision-making.
- Work with leadership to define "source of truth" systems and ensure consistency of job, customer, project, and production data.
- Develop data governance standards, including naming conventions, version control, access levels, and retention procedures.
Systems Integration & Cross-Platform Alignment
- Connect and integrate systems (E2, Google Workspace, Pipedrive, HR systems, timekeeping tools, and internal platforms) to ensure seamless information flow.
- Partner with Accounting, Production, Sales, and HR to align data between systems (jobs, customers, units, schedules, etc.).
- Improve and maintain permissions, roles, and identity management across platforms.
- Ensure all data dependencies between business units and systems are clearly documented and functioning properly.
Safety & Culture

This Position Requires:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Strong background in system administration, data management, and improving digital workflows.
- Experience with databases, reporting tools, automation tools, or APIs.
- Experience with Google Workspace administration
- Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to simplify complex data environments.
- Effective communication and collaboration across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45, $55,000.00 per year
