Looking for steady, hands-on work in a skilled production environment?
Nitterhouse Concrete Products is hiring full-time, first shift team members including laborers and patchers/finishers. Every role on the team contributes to producing high-quality finished work.
This is a great opportunity for individuals with construction, manufacturing, or general labor experience. Experience in concrete finishing or precast work is a strong plus but not required for motivated candidates willing to learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the production of structural and architectural precast concrete products
- Perform finishing, patching, and surface repair on concrete units as needed
- Smooth and finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
- Apply sealing and hardening compounds when required
- Assist with casting, stripping, cleaning, and preparation of forms
- Inspect products for surface quality and finish standards
- Work from drawings, specifications, and production instructions
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Support general shop production and labor tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
- Commitment to safety rules and procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, kneeling, bending, squatting, and crawling for extended periods; lifting and carrying up to and exceeding 50 lbs
Preferred Experience
- Concrete finishing or precast experience is a plus
- Construction, manufacturing, or general labor experience preferred but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.50 per hour
