Role Overview

The Technology Project Manager will plan, execute, and deliver complex technology projects using established project management methodologies and tools. This role is responsible for managing multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring delivery quality, financial discipline, risk mitigation, and strong cross‑functional collaboration across business, engineering, QA, vendors, and leadership teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute detailed technology project plans, including scope definition, work effort estimation, execution strategy, timelines, and dependency management.
  • Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while monitoring delivery progress, quality, and performance, taking corrective action when needed.
  • Own project financials including budgeting, forecasting, cost‑benefit analysis, EV/ROI, burn vs. earn analysis, and team velocity tracking.
  • Anticipate project risks, budget issues, and cross‑project dependencies; proactively coordinate resolution and mitigation strategies with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Define, implement, and communicate project governance standards including quality control policies, procedures, and reporting frameworks.
  • Plan and execute pre‑implementation and post‑implementation activities to ensure stable releases and successful adoption.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to sponsors, IT leadership, vendors, and delivery teams, clearly articulating complex technical, regulatory, and business impacts.
  • Orchestrate cross‑functional forums to address critical issues and drive consensus on complex delivery challenges.
  • Build, motivate, and lead high‑performance, cross‑functional teams across development, architecture, QA, and product disciplines.
  • Partner with business, development, and testing leaders to negotiate resolutions to delivery constraints and critical problems.
  • Interact with external vendors to gather information, analyze solutions, and negotiate resolution of issues impacting project delivery.
  • Elevate project issues to Program Management and Senior Leadership as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive project and corporate information.
  • Mentor other project managers and support special assignments requiring advanced expertise.
  • Participate in recruiting and hiring of team members.
  • Operate with general direction on day‑to‑day work while receiving high‑level guidance for complex or strategic initiatives.

  • Proven experience managing complex technology projects using established project management methodologies and tools.
  • Demonstrated success leading multiple concurrent initiatives with competing priorities.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, ROI analysis, and performance tracking.
  • Excellent judgment and problem‑solving ability, with a strong understanding of cause‑and‑effect relationships in project execution.
  • Ability to influence outcomes, drive change, and remove delivery impediments without direct authority.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex delivery risks and decisions to technical teams and executive leadership.
  • Experience working across cross‑functional teams and with external vendors in enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership presence, commitment to teamwork, and strong relationship‑building skills across all organizational levels.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (required).

Compensation

$140K - $150K
