Position Summary:
The Porter is responsible for supporting the service department with vehicle movement, customer service, lot organization, and maintaining cleanliness in and around the service area. This role ensures the service department operates efficiently and provides a positive experience for all customers. This position also includes light janitorial duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:Vehicle Support:
- Greet customers upon arrival and direct them appropriately.
- Move and park customer vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Retrieve vehicles for customers upon service completion.
- Assist with vehicle staging for service and delivery.
- Perform light vehicle cleaning (e.g., vacuuming, wiping surfaces) as needed.
Customer Interaction:
- Provide courteous and professional assistance to customers.
- Help direct traffic flow within the service lane or lot.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and technicians.
Lot & Facility Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service drive, parking lot, and customer waiting area.
- Remove debris, empty trash cans, sweep/mop floors, and perform other janitorial tasks as needed.
- Clean restrooms and ensure they are stocked and sanitized regularly.
- Assist in snow/ice removal (seasonal) and other weather-related maintenance.
- Ensure shop supplies like soap, towels, and cleaning materials are stocked.
General Duties:
- Drop off/Pick up customers in the shuttle as needed.
- Assist technicians and advisors with tasks as directed.
- Monitor and report any maintenance needs or safety issues.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.41 - $15.50 per hour
