QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Five years of experience in all aspects of building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical repair, carpentry and servicing kitchen, HVAC equipment and hot water boilers.
- Provide a Driving Abstract
- Must have a valid Driver License and Driver’s abstract must not contain any disqualifying events per the NRWC Safe Driver Policy.
- Ability to follow through with tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Some administrative ability including record keeping
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Possess excellent decision-making skills
- Demonstrates honesty in the workplace
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Current knowledge of occupational safety issues
- Pass NRWC pre-employment testing
- Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License
- HVAC maintenance or advanced carpentry skills
- Excellent guest service skills
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull
- Ability to stand or move around continuously for 8 or more hours
- Ability to reach up to a height of 69” while lifting items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment
- Understands the operation of the Casino physical systems; hot water boilers, HVAC, elevators, septic, plumbing, electrical systems, etc., to repair or improve them and/or to assist external vendors in diagnosing problems
- Reports to Engineer Supervisor/Facilities Manager/Assistant Facilities Manager regarding any issues or problems that arise on assigned shift
- Make suggestions for improvements to procedures and products used in the Facilities Department
- Maintaining, repairing, and assembling kitchen equipment
- Troubleshoot problems with any kitchen equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
