ASSIGNMENT: Hillside Elementary School; Special Education; 10 months per year; 30 hours per week
Job Qualifications
New York State Teaching Assistant Certification preferred. Exceptional candidates without certification will be considered for employment as a Substitute Teaching Assistant (for a maximum of 40 school days) until certification is obtained. Minimum requirements for certification include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- New York State Assessment of Teaching Assistant Skills (ATAS) test
- Completion of workshops in: Child Abuse Identification, School Violence, and Dignity for All Students (DASA)
